Consensus 2026 in Miami: Dates, Speakers, What to Expect

by Powerclub Global

Consensus 2026 runs May 5 to 7 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Here are the dates, venue, speakers, pass prices and what is new this year.

Miami Beach — Consensus 2026, CoinDesk's flagship crypto conference, runs May 5 to 7 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, its first edition in Miami after Toronto in 2025 and a Hong Kong event in February. CoinDesk expects more than 20,000 attendees from over 100 countries, and it has built the program around institutional finance, stablecoins and AI agents that pay for things. For founders, investors and marketers, it puts regulators, banks and builders in one building for three days.

Who is on the Consensus 2026 program

The published agenda puts a regulator, a bank and several founders on the main stage on day one. Michael Selig, chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, has a fireside on Tuesday afternoon. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is interviewed by Bullish CEO Tom Farley that morning, and Amy Oldenburg, head of digital asset strategy at Morgan Stanley, follows after lunch. Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko and Cloudflare chief strategy officer Stephanie Cohen both have Tuesday firesides.

Later days bring PayPal's May Zabaneh on agentic commerce, Tether USA CEO Bo Hines on a stablecoin panel, a keynote from Fundstrat's Tom Lee and a fireside with Greylock partner Reid Hoffman. CoinDesk's directory also lists Michael Saylor of Strategy and Patrick Witt of the President's Council of Advisors for Digital Assets. Session times are on the official agenda, and our Consensus Miami 2026 speakers guide covers twelve of them with day, time and stage.

What is new at Consensus 2026

The city is the first change. CoinDesk's press page describes this edition as the conference's Miami debut, and its March 10 announcement framed the move as a return to the United States. Solana Accelerate USA also takes place on May 5 as part of the Consensus program.

The second change is the amount of structured programming around the stages:

  • Institutional Summit: May 5, application-only, for asset managers and institutional investors
  • Wealth Management Day: May 6, the fourth annual edition, for registered financial advisors
  • CoinDesk University: enterprise programs on stablecoins and agentic commerce
  • Global Bitcoin Summit: a new summit track alongside Capital Markets and Policy and Regulation
  • EasyA Consensus Hackathon and CoinDesk PitchFest: a developer competition on the show floor and a live startup pitch contest

The three themes behind the agenda

CoinDesk names three themes for 2026: Crypto at Scale, Institutional Integration and Agentic Commerce. The first two are familiar: stablecoins and tokenization each have a track, and the Capital Markets Summit covers staking, tokenized private credit and the institutional investor outlook.

Agentic Commerce is the newer bet. It covers software agents that trade, pay and manage money on a user's behalf, and it explains why Cloudflare, Google Cloud, PayPal and Coinbase's x402 team sit on the same agenda as exchanges and token issuers. Teams selling payments, infrastructure or compliance products should read that track first.
